1912/1917 – Dams are 112/106 years old.
With the completion of our project in sight, it is important to show how it evolved. A basic timeline below describes this progression.
Work with the contractor, Township Engineer and representatives from DEP Dam Safety focuses on a sediment control system around the sluice gate. Lake clean up continues in support of means to protect sluice gate and control mechanisms. New shims were installed on the sluice gate and initial testing confirms no leaks at this point. Inspection of the sluice indicates no leaking through the sluice walls. Stump removal complete and silt control mechanism approved by poll for installation. Update 6/2/2024
